Located just outside Rome, Barrique, the ex-Poggio Le Volpi barrique cellar, is a venue for exclusive events. Renovated in 2017 and transformed into a gourmet restaurant, the pride and joy of the Mergé family, the barrique cellar was then converted into a location for weddings and receptions.
The barrels, designer tables and large windows with a panoramic view of the vineyards and of Rome make Barrique Spazio Eventi a truly unique location. Elegant and sophisticated, it offers something different from the villas, country houses and agritourism accommodation found in the region.
Excellence comes as standard
Producing outstanding wines from Lazio was the starting point for Felice Mergé, a third-generation winemaker and the founder of Poggio Le Volpi.
In 2017, Felice and Rossella Macchia came up with the idea of opening a high-end restaurant to serve their wines with the dishes cooked up by the Epos Bistrot.
